Making Pizzas at Amers

Last Friday we met some of our homeschooling friends at Amers an Egyptian Pizzeria, where the kids make thier own pizzas. It is a very kids friendly place, very casual and comfortable. Madeline loved the Egyptian themed decor and liked the owner-Amer- he answered lots of questions for her about Egypt- her favortie place and where she is planning to go for her 21st birthday, with me and Grace-.Anyhoow this was a very fun afternoon with good friends, good food and lots of fun.

making the pizzas, Grace made two hers and Shawns.

putting the pizzas in the brick oven and the finished product. they where very good.

enjoying our hard work:-) YummY! I had a calzone with spincah and cheese that was also made in the brick oven and with the same paper thin crust very yummy.

What a fun day! I used to work @ a pizza place like that in New England, called flatbread co. It was so fun. My hubby and I are going to build a brick oven in our back yard. About Egypt. I have a wonderful bloggy friend Erin who is currently in Egypt and has been keeping us updated on all her adventures. She has fabulous pictures. You should check her out. Be sure to tell her I sent you :)http://quiltedturtle.blogspot.com/

Wish we had a place like that around here. We do have a brick oven out back, but it would be nice for someone else to do the cleanup! Looks like a blast!!
