picking some pumpkins

Heading out on the wagon to the pumpkin patch. It was a sunny perfect fall day. We went to Lohrs which is a bit of a ride but it is pretty and this farm makes apple slushies which are a big favorite with all my kids.

the boys selecting a pumpkin or two- or many-, my battery died here so I did not get any photos of the girls getting theres. Always happens:-)

we took home 8 pumpkins, -and will have fun next weekend having a carving party- and we took home 20lbs of apples from the orchard, we have been making applesauce and pies, and dried some out , and of course just munching . Theres just something about a sunny day on the farm that makes all the worries it he world just melt away.

We went apple picking yesterday and really had fun. And like you, the place we chose was a bit of a drive but worth the extra time! Love the pictures, very nice!

Fun day! We painted Levi's pumpkin today. I'm looking forward to when he's old enough to get into carving them.
