Lydia is all grown-up

This is Lydia wondering our yard freely she had been out of her enclosure for good for about a week, just wondering and eating bugs and checking everything out.Well July the fifth she discovered freedom all on her own, and how good it felt and we are so happy for her.

Lydia found her own way into the river and was off like a bullet. She is so happy and diving and splashing all over. She has since found a group of ducks she seems to swim with, which is wonderful for her, she needs to learn things from them we cannot show her. So it is so wonderful to see her so happy and well. Madeline is still a bit teary eyed, but, knows if she had not saved her she would not have this chance to go out an be a big duck. And who knows next year she may come back and build her nest right here. She still thinks Madeline is her mom, and comes to her when she calls her.

We feel so blessed to have had a hand in helping one of Gods little ones grow and then letting it go home. - reminds me of the day my chicks will leave the nest , made me a bit teary eyed myself-.Perhaps the lessons where meant for me more then the kids.

I remember seeing the adorable baby pictures of Lydia and she still looks so cute on a bigger scale!! It is bittersweet to have to raise her and let her go, too, and so much like you pointed out, like what we have to do with our own babies.

blessings and hugs,

marcy

How bittersweet!! I too will be teary eyed when my little one leaves the nest. Scratch that...I'll be squalling like a baby.

Delighted to meet you. Your sweet post blessed my day. My little ones are growing up each and every day. Such a treasure to sharpen them so we can release them to impact the world.

Blessings from this missionary mommy,

you were asking about what i do for a weight loss plan.... well a couple of summers back, i did a 2 1/2 month white sugar fast. i lost 30 lbs doing that. i also started exercising pretty regularly. right now i am trying to exercise every day and cut back on portions, etc.. Training for an open water swim has been my focus lately and it seems to be helping. Good luck with your weight loss adventure. just think of how happy and excited your husband will be, how much more energy you'll have for your kids and how great you'll feel once you start losing. you can do it :-)

What a wonderful experience! You truly are blessed.
My daughter would do anything for a duck as a pet. When we had a bird in our house a couple of days ago she was delighted as 'now I have a bird for a pet'. Luckily it was such fun letting her go that we forgot we thought she'd be our pet.
Blessings and magic.
